Coconut Cove Attractions: Wavy Slides, Toddler Area, Ball Cannons, and More Fun Things

Let’s be honest, this place is a dream for kids. Heck, this place is a dream for parents! And if you parents reading this had ever been to a Discovery Zone, then you’ll know that Coconut Cove will live fondly in the memories of your children for decades to come.

There are plenty of fun things to do at Coconut Cove. The super tall, fun slides are probably the biggest draw. They are actually more like giant racing slides, as kids young and younger are flying down them together constantly to see who wins.

There is also a ball fountain, which spits up foam balls at the push of a button. The ball cannons use the same foam balls as ammo and provide some fun entertainment as you try to hit targets (or other kids lol). There are also crawl tunnels, soft obstacles, spiral slides, tube slides, trampolines, spinning chairs, and easy rock climbing walls. In other words, there is no shortage of fun activities and lots of different ways to keep your kids super entertained!

Although not as large as the main play area, the Toddler Area offers a safer space for the younger littles to discover how to play. Within it, you’ll find large building blocks that are very soft and meant for stacking, interactive puzzles on the walls, spinning chairs, and even a very introductory slide.

So What is a Parent To Do While The Kids Are in Active Play?

Well, if you’re not actually accompanying your kids on the playground (parents are allowed to play, too!), you can take advantage of the plenty of seating and tables available. If you’ve got a Zoom meeting scheduled, you can take advantage of their free wifi, too. And if that’s not enough, hop into one of their massage chairs (!). (This really could be Utah’s best indoor playground!)

Things to Know Before You Go

  • You must sign a waiver for yourself and for your children before playing.
  • Socks are required at all times, so be prepared! They do sell socks but they are pretty expensive. I always keep a clean pair of these awesome grip socks for both me and my kids in case we end up at Coconut Cove.
  • Outside food is not allowed, but they do sell a variety of snacks at their concession stand.
  • You can stay as long as you want, but once you leave that is the end of your admission.
  • Parents MUST accompany child and supervise at all times – no drop-offs allowed.
  • If you’ve got a Zoom meeting scheduled, you can take advantage of their free wifi!
